Fax over IP usually called FOIP i.e. Fax over Internet Protocol or IP faxing has existed for a long time now. Faxing over IP is nothing but send a fax over the internet. FOIP is similar to VOIP and changes the transmission medium of your fax just like VOIP changes the transmission medium of a voice call.
